surfing in mexico

A really great friend was getting married in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. A small hippy town that has great beginner/intermediate surfing, Sayulita was a mere 1 hour away. So, I packed my wrap racks to attach rented boards to the roof of the rental car and off Tom and I went to swim and surf without a wetsuit. The air and water were both in the low 80′s.

Here is a picture of surfing outside of Sayulita on a long, expansive beach where there were no more than 5 people catching waves. This was my favorite spot. Waves were 3-5foot!

Tom collected a great variety of shells that I use for swim lessons for kids. Sea treasures!

A fresh water swimming hole that we walked up a stream to and plunged in. Water, water, everywhere, what fun and refreshing.
