This article came out on the Wall Street Journal’s front page! Geesh, amazing what marketing does to have a catchy phrase for something that has existed for half a century.  Gertrude Ederle crossed the English Channel in 1926. These are the classics. It’s a lifetime of challenge for me. That’s part of my future, for sure! I swam the Around Manhattan Island swim in  2001, and rocked it. That is where my Discovery Channel video clip on the press page is from.

I loved that swim. Mainly beccause my grandparents, aunts and uncle, parents, bro, and college friends came to cheer me on. They drove around the city and i saw them on rocks next to fisherman, mooning me next to the Intrepid battleship and at the finish smashed in btwn photographers and press. Super cool. Id love it if my grandmother could see and share the experience of an upcoming swim.
